With more ambitious plans than ever before to support Dubai’s future growth goals, new developments are under construction for the hospitality sector. Real estate projects are, in fact, ongoing on the tree-shaped Palm Jumeirah Island, which is already known for its many luxury hotels, beachfront villas and apartment buildings.
Vacationers in Dubai might soon have more opportunities for lodging at what is the largest artificial island in the world where the sand was scattered to create an iconic palm tree shape; its unique structure has captivated sightseers from around the world. The artificial archipelago built from reclaimed land mass was indeed an extraordinary feat of engineering, architecture and construction that today spans five square kilometers, adding 78 kilometers to Dubai’s coastline.
The Palm Jumeirah with six marinas is home to expensive properties and luxurious hotels. Floating houses are also available for accommodation.
A lot of people nowadays come on the island to stay at one of the many hotels including Atlantis The Palm, Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort (East Crescent), One&Only The Palm (West Crescent), to name a few, and will dine out at one of the world-class restaurants that are serving every cuisine. Others will enjoy the attractions including a renowned water park.
Dubai’s tourism market is now leading to more investment opportunities on Palm Jumeirah. Dubai conglomerate A.A. Al Moosa Enterprises will open three luxury hotels (Hilton the Palm, Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, and Marriott the Palm) on the Palm Jumeirah this year — with a target opening date of Q1 of 2019. (A YouTube video (3:36) covers the specifics.)
In one of the fastest growing tourism and hospitality markets in the Middle East and a leading tourist destination in the region, the opening of the three hotels on the Palm to offer the finest of Arabian hospitality will add a combined 25 dining outlets and almost 1,500 rooms will further strengthen the growth strategies for Dubai, said A.A. Al Moosa Enterprises’ Faisal Al Moosa. Dubai’s hospitality industry rises to support the government’s Tourism Vision for 2020.
In addition to the hotel projects in Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, a new ground up development is in the pipeline: Nakheel Mall – It is almost complete and will have 350 shops, restaurants and leisure attractions and two waterfalls in 4.5 million square feet of space across five levels.
